MEET THE COACHES

HEAD COACH
JONATHAN DOZE

I'm a proud Houstonian native, born and raised in this vibrant Texan city. My journey in baseball began early on when I joined Westbury Little League, where It was here that my passion for the game truly ignited.

During my high school years at Westbury High School, I had the privilege of playing varsity baseball and even earned my varsity letter. While I was versatile in both the infield and outfield, my heart was always in the outfield, chasing down those fly balls and making those incredible catches.

Following high school, my commitment to the sport led me to Blinn College and Texas Southern University, where I continued to hone my baseball skills.

But it wasn't just about my playing days; I found immense satisfaction in sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of baseball players. Over the last decade, I've dedicated my time to coaching various age groups in youth select baseball, instilling not just the technical skills but also a deep appreciation for the game.

As a personal baseball trainer with seven years of experience, my focus extends beyond the field. I specialize in fine-tuning the art of hitting, perfecting fielding techniques, and instilling the importance of proper base running. Helping young athletes reach their full potential in baseball is my true passion.

"It's not your skill set, it's your mindset!"

ASSISTANT COACH
KEN JOHNSON

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I've spent my life deeply intertwined with the sport of baseball. It all began during my high school days at Westbury High School when I donned the Rebels Baseball uniform. I played my heart out in various positions—pitcher, infield, and outfield.

My journey into the world of baseball started early. I began playing in Westbury High School's Junior Varsity team during my freshman and sophomore years, from 2008 to 2010. But my true passion for the game shone when I moved up to the Varsity team, where I spent my junior and senior years, from 2010 to 2012.

My connection to the sport doesn't end with my playing days. In 2014, I embarked on a new role as a coach, starting with Little League and Select Baseball. I was proud to join my father's organization, sharing my knowledge and love for the game with young, aspiring athletes, shaping their skills and values.

In 2021, I took another step in my coaching journey, this time under the mentorship of Coach Jonathan Doze. As his assistant coach, I had the privilege of focusing on pitching instruction and providing support for infield and outfield players. This experience allowed me to continue to grow and refine my coaching skills, all while fostering a new generation of baseball talent.

For me, life revolves around the diamond, whether as a player, coach, or in my other pursuits. My passion for baseball runs deep, and I'm committed to helping others share in the joy and excitement this sport brings.
